In the summer of 2011, in the midst of a three-year legal journey, we thought about the best ways to inform the Geauga community about civic pride and responsibility. Now that the wind turbine at A Wind in the Woods Farm is nearly complete, with the blessings of both the Eleventh District Court of Appeals (December 28, 2012) and Geauga County Common Pleas Court (May 15, 2013), it is clearly time to link our civic website to our long-existing farm website, www.wiwfarm.com.

Since the beginning of our activity in July 2011 we have been privileged and humbled to receive a growing number of page views now approximately 3100 per week from visitors including but not limited to the Chagrin Falls, Ohio, area. You may have noticed that there are no commercials or advertisements to defray the costs of operation. Therefore, we encourage you to do as you have been doing: spreading the word about our coverage of important issues in Auburn Township as well as Geauga County. It is your good word that enables our continued growth.
Thank you for caring about your community and the issues that accompany efficient and responsible government.
It is our mission to improve the Accountability and Transparency of local government.
Accountability means that public officials - elected and un-elected - have an obligation to explain their decisions and actions to the citizens.
Transparency in government, means that citizens must be able to "see through" its workings, to know exactly what goes on when public officials transact public business.
